To say that 2020 was a challenging year for everyone is an understatement—in August 2020 NCSC decided to take eCourts online. While NCSC conferences have always had a virtual component for those that are not able to attend, we understand the importance of meeting face to face. We look forward to seeing you in person in Las Vegas, and as we have done in the past, a virtual option will be available at a later date.
While we’re collecting and reviewing session proposals for eCourts 2022, we thought it’d be useful to review session replays from 2020.
Some specific highlights:
- Tom Topping opened eCourts 2020 with strategies for a remote world.
- eCourts wasn’t just about the pandemic. Siobhan Gorman and Suzanne Spaulding briefed attendees on how to defend our courts against the onslaught of disinformation campaigns in their session: Suspicious Minds.
- And finally, David Slayton’s endnote looked ahead to how the technology leveraged during the pandemic would shape the future of our courts.
Everyone’s ability to adapt has been tested since 2020. How have you leveraged technology in your courts since the last eCourts?
