eCourts 2022—What you told us about this year’s conference!

A few weeks back, we asked you to tell us a bit about how things in the post-pandemic world looked from your perspective. We wanted to know what you thought about getting back to meeting face to face. Here is what you told us.

Two-thirds of you told us that you plan to be in Las Vegas in December—in person! That’s fantastic, and we cannot wait to see you. We were also enthused to see lots of you telling us “maybe” rather than “no.” We can appreciate it may be a little too early in the year to know what December holds. Those of you that told us upfront that you cannot attend cited concerns about budgets as the main reason.

About 1 in 4 of you told us that you were somewhat or very interested in the idea of a virtual conference, which is great since we plan to have some sort of online component to eCourts to complement the in-person conference. It also looks like most of you think that two hours per day is enough for an online conference. Screen fatigue is real! We will keep that in mind as we build out the online component to eCourts.

You sent some great responses to the question, “what do you look forward to the most at eCourts 2022.” Not surprisingly, many of you cited the desire to learn about new technology and innovation in the courts and catch up on everything the courts have learned in the last two years about how to better deliver justice.

Said one of you: “I learn so much from other jurisdictions on what they are doing and how we can better improve our…processes.” But if there was one kind of comment that prevailed, we think this captures it perfectly: “Seeing people again.”

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! We can’t wait to see you in December.
