COSCA Midyear + eCourts: Back to Back Opportunities

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas

COSCA members know that we live in an age of ubiquitous data. COSCA’s 2018 midyear meeting—to be held December 6-8, 2018 in Las Vegas—will focus on all things data, and includes an invitation for state court data specialists.

You may not know that Las Vegas was chosen as the site for this year’s meeting because it is also the location of NCSC’s 2018 eCourts conference. Conveniently, both meetings are at the same hotel, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. COSCA’s midyear wraps up on Saturday, December 8, and eCourts begins on Monday, December 10 with an opening session focusing on “what the courts will look like in 2030” featuring NCSC’s Tom Clarke and COSCA’s David Slayton. Tuesday morning, law professor Benjamin Barton will discuss themes from his recent book “Rebooting Justice.” The full eCourts education program is available for review online.

Registration for the COSCA midyear won’t open until the fall, but because eCourts is a tremendously popular conference that frequently sells out, we want to be sure every COSCA member who wishes to participate gets the opportunity to do so. Until July 31, COSCA members—and any data specialists accompanying them to the midyear meeting—can register for eCourts at a discounted rate of $550 using the discount code “COSCA.”

We hope you will extend your time in Las Vegas, and double down on great educational opportunities.
